Paul Bienstock is a Senior Investment Analyst following the equity, fixed income, and convertible markets. He has purchased recommendations of equities and bonds that have significantly out-performed their respective benchmarks. He has written detailed research reports and presented/defended views to other buy-side investors and co-workers in investment committees, small meetings, and on conference calls.

He has covered small capitalization/medium capitalization companies as well as larger firms. His healthcare research background includes coverage of all the major sub-sectors including medical devices, pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, and healthcare services (managed care, hospital management/outpatient facilities, pharmacy distribution/management, etc). His coverage of other sectors includes: Consumer Cyclical/Retail, Consumer Staples, Telecommunications, Media, and Technology.

Paul Bienstock is an Adjunct Professor of Finance and Accounting at Baruch College and Fordham University, teaching Investment Analysis, Financial Management/Corporate Finance, and Accounting to undergraduate business students and MBA students.

Mr. Bienstock’s specialties include fundamental analysis, financial statement analysis, and financial modeling and forecasting. He also has experience in performance attribution analysis in valuation, in depth/primary research and due diligence, equity research/analysis, stock selection through high yield bonds/leverage, and credit analysis by loans/convertible bonds. Portfolio management and construction, global asset allocation, writing research reports/press releases/credit opinions, managing an investment team, and mentoring/guidance of co-workers are some of his other known skills. On top of that, his other specialties are fund marketing/presentation (to home office, existing and prospective clients, and consultants) and investment idea origination/alpha origination.

He established Bienstock Asset Management, a registered investment advisor (RIA) with the state of New York. He also completed several projects with the CFA Institute including grading level III exams.
